Completed April 3, 2011, revised April 4 and then again between April 23 and 28. The final portrait is of a female bird twenty days old – three days before banding. By this point she should weigh in the neighborhood of a pound, having hatched at a little over an ounce. Figure stands 11" tail; it’s 12.5" across.
