Completed May 25, 2012 as a gift for Andrew of Columbia River Kayaking, who not only led a group of Road Scholars through a week of world-class adventure on water and land but donated a big bag of wool from his flock of Black Welsh Mountain Sheep to the wandering Salamander, who promptly washed up a bit and got to work. (The black and brown wool in this figure is all from the new batch, and the lighter areas are more of the same, blended with some cream-colored Merino.)

So this otter hat brooch already has a home, but there’s lots of the same wool left, and you can write to the Salamander if you’d like to discuss the creation of someone similar for yourself.
